5 Must-Watch Angelina Jolie Movies Of All Time
Award-winning actress Angelina Jolie has always been revered for her beauty and spectacular acting chops. Once the camera starts rolling, we often forget that she's merely playing a role. Having said that, here are five times Jolie impressed us on-screen:
1/5 Angelina Jolie as Lisa Rowe in "Girl, Interrupted" (1999)
Angelina Jolie played a supporting role in the 1999 movie Girl, Interrupted. But the actress still managed to leave a lasting impression through her heart-quenching scenes as Lisa Rowe, a charming sociopath who befriends Sussana Kaysen (played by Winona Ryder).
Jolie is able to portray her character's rage through piercing glares. One can even hear the pain in Lisa's voice through Jolie's delivery. Overall, Jolie was able to match Ryder's ability to portray affliction in a troubling drama like Girl, Interrupted.

2/5 Angelina Jolie as Evelyn Salt in "Salt" (2010)
If you loved Angelina Jolie in Mr. & Mrs Smith, then you'll admire her in Salt. This time, however, the character she portrays named Evelyn Salt is attempting to outrun the authorities all on her own. The movie has twists that you'll enjoy as well.
It could be Jolie's rigour in action scenes that makes us love her, but it could also be the fact that she looks really cool when fighting off bad guys.
3/5 Angelina Jolie in "Maleficent" (2014)
Despite playing a terrifying villain, we empathise with Angelina Jolie's character in Maleficent. You could say that empathising with Maleficent was the writers' goal all along. However, writing a well-written narrative is one thing, and bringing the story to life is another. And Jolie truly delivered.
There are a few scenes that convinced many of us that there is no one else who can play Maleficent better than Jolie. One of these scenes is when Maleficent barged into the castle and met King Stefan (played by Sharlto Copley) years after he betrayed her. Her tone, delivery, and timing in that scene made her role iconic.
4/5 Angelina Jolie as Christine Collins in "Changeling" (2008)
If you need a good cry and have not seen a movie worth watching in a while, then you will love Angelina Jolie as Christine Collins in Changeling. The film is based on a true story and tackles relevant issues about mental health, feminism, corruption among many others.
Jolie being cast in Changeling is a brilliant choice; primarily because the actress understands a mother's love as she is also a mum to six children.
5/5 A Mighty Heart (2007)
In A Mighty Heart, Angelina Jolie stars as Mariane Pearl, wife of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel who went missing in Pakistan.
Jolie has received much praise for her role in A Mighty Heart which isn't surprising considering that the actress was able to pull off a foreign accent "influenced by France and Cuba", and a difficult role of a woman who is dealing with conflicting emotions of grief and hope.
