Korean Fashion: Bae Suzy’s Most Stylish Looks On- and Off-Screen

Bae Suzy’s slender frame and K-drama actress glamour make her a great clotheshorse for fancy frocks and ball gowns, but thanks to her girlish, natural beauty, she looks just as good in understated, everyday outfits.

Unlike fellow hallyu stars like Son Ye-jin, Seo Ye-ji, Jun Ji-hyun and IU, who got to play uber-stylish characters who are dressed to the nines in their recent dramas, 26-year-old Bae Suzy has taken on more down-to-earth roles.

She was a young entrepreneur who wore mostly blazers and pants in 2020 hit Start Up, a secret agent in Vagabond, and a reporter who can see the future via her dreams in While You Were Sleeping. Not exactly glamorous characters, but Bae’s doe-eyed charm makes her look good in any outfit, even if it’s silly pyjamas or a plain sweater.

Will she be glam or down-to-earth in her upcoming film Wonderland? It’s a sci-fi fantasy film with Park Bo-gum and Choi Woo-shik, about a virtual world called Wonderland, where you can meet people you never thought you’d see again, thanks to artificial intelligence. Perhaps she’ll be a glamorous AI robot or maybe a regular person willing to do anything to meet a loved one once again? We’ll know when the movie is released later this year.
