These recipes are inspired by their mum's cooking that has been handed down through the years, making each plate scrumptiously special. Let your mum take a break from cooking and let the Dusit chefs serve them with a set menu good for four people.

Chef Watcharaphon Yongbanthom of Benjarong is preparing Miang Pla Nung, a dish that her mom would cook when the whole family's at home. It is made with steamed sea bass, Thai rice noodles with spicy peanut sauce and lettuce cups. Indulge in this Thai set menu for PHP3,500 as it includes som tam tord (crispy papaya salad), guay tiew luy suan (spring roll with minced chicken), gaeng khieo wan gai (green curry) gam moo yang (grilled pork cheek) and kanom tako (water chestnut pudding). You may also make your mum's day by treating her to a Mother's Day set dinner, including her favourite authentic Thai dishes for PHP1,800 per person at the Benjarong.

Chef Xerxes Narciso, however, remembers his mum's house where the smell of paella wafts through the air. Recreating that same appetising dish, he is making paella de mariscos which is made with saffron, mussels, prawns, clams and Spanish chorizo. For PHP3,800, you can enjoy this international set as it includes green salad, sous vide grilled pork jowl, red wine braised beef short ribs and Dusit chocolate cake.

While growing up, Chef Hiroyuki Fukata used to enjoy eating chirashi jyu. This comfort food is a mixture of sashimi favourites which are all fresh. Priced at PHP4,500 only, you'll get to enjoy the kani sarada (crabstick and lettuce), gyuniku cream cheese maki (simmered beef with cream cheese), wafu steak (US rib eye), wakadori teriyaki (grilled chicken in teriyaki sauce), nin-niku yakimeshi (Japanese style garlic rice) and matcha green tea cheesecake.

To make Mother's Day even special, every order of takeaway set menu comes with a complimentary box of award-winning laing empanada. Tracing back to Chef Paul Samonte's childhood in his hometown, the two specialties from Bicol and Ilocos won a gold medal in the Philippine Culinary Cup 2019.
