The singer as well as rapper French Montana were among the former celebrity residents of the Sky Manor Penthouse Collection, which is a trio of luxury properties at the Cassa Hotel and Residences in Manhattan that went up for auction this month

Rihanna’s former penthouse in New York City, along with two neighbouring units, went up for auction earlier this month.

Dubbed the Sky Manor Penthouse Collection, the three residences are located at the Cassa Hotel and Residences on 70 West 45th Street in Manhattan. They were listed for auction on November 13 this year.

The luxury properties were reportedly home not just to Rihanna but also to rapper French Montana and baseball player Rougned “Rougie” Odor, formerly of the New York Yankees. The stars are said to have lived in the units at different times between 2013 and 2021.

Buyers were presented with the option to purchase them together with a minimum reserve bid of US$30 million or individually, with each unit’s minimum reserve bid set between US$10 million and US$12 million, according to its auction listing. The three units together measure approximately 8,300 sq ft, with ten bedrooms, eight bathrooms and four powder rooms. Two of the penthouses each measure over 2,500 sq ft, while the third is over 3,100 sq ft. They are located between the 45th and 47th floors of the building; there is an additional room on the 48th floor, which the property listing suggests can be turned into a gym or office.

As the auction closes, we take a look inside these luxury, celebrity-laden homes.

Described as an ultra-private palatial palace that soars above Midtown Manhattan, the three homes boast 360-degree views of the skyline. Each penthouse features contemporary interiors with ceilings that measure over 20 ft.

If combined, the homes can be transformed into a triplex; the listing provided renderings of what this could look like. The homes’ extensive space means there are plenty of possibilities, says the listing—amenities inside the homes can include a sauna, yoga studio, golf stimulator, bar or private cinema.
