Swiss luxury watchmaker TAG Heuer has just levelled up its game for users of the classic Aquaracer. This time, the diving watch doubles as a stylish piece you can use in any event.

When it comes to athletic activities, we all want a highly functional watch that does not sacrifice style. When TAG Heuer released its classic Aquaracer, people were drawn to the watch’s purpose and versatility.

This time, the luxury brand has improved the beloved timepiece, taking into consideration the style and progress of people who are always on the go in the modern age.

The Aquaracer Professional 300 emerges with a bright new look, new materials, and a new lease of life.

Recognisable Design

The Aquaracer 300 remains true to its roots. The timepiece is recognizable with its signature 12 faceted bezel and high specifications. “TAG Heuer has been making bold, high-performance, stylish, luxury tool watches for more than four decades. The Aquaracer Professional 300 picks up a much-loved story and moves it on with the most significant step we’ve taken to develop our Aquaracer collection in many years,” said TAG Heuer CEO Frédéric Arnault, TAG Heuer.

He added that the new Aquaracer 300 will continue to push the limits of divers’ watch design and performance. “Pushing the limits, high functionality, a bold and unmistakable aesthetic, and the promise of going with you, even to the extremes – the Aquaracer Professional 300 is a watch that will take you beyond the edge. This is, after all, the place where we truly find ourselves.”

RELIABLE UPGRADES

The Aquaracer watch has always been known for its rotating bezel, screw-down crown, ability to resist water 200 metres down, luminous markings, sapphire glass, and a double safety clasp.

For Aquaracer 300, the designers kept the watch’s basic form but included interesting features such as a scratch-resistant ceramic so the bezel could be gripped and turned easily.  They have also upgraded the sapphire glass by integrating a magnifier so the wearer could easily identify the time and date.

The new model also has a wider, more sword-shaped hour hand, and narrower minutes hand so the wearer can easily see the difference between the two hands in low-light conditions.

For extra clarity, the designers chose green Super-LumiNova® for the hour hand and hour markers, and blue Super-LumiNova® for the minute hand.

The water resistance of the watch has also been upgraded. Today, Aquaracer 300 is more durable and can be submerged up to 300 metres deep.

CHOOSE FROM SEVEN DIFFERENT DESIGNS

Aquaracer 300 has seven different variations. Six of these will be in stainless steel with blue, black, or silver dials. There will also be a 43mm piece made up of high-tech matte with Grade 2 titanium and green dial.

To give the watches a bold look, all seven variations have been given stylish engraved dials. The 43mm model has engraved horizontal lines, only now these have been set further apart, contributing to the watch’s more sophisticated look.

Meanwhile, the dials on the smaller 36mm models are engraved with a wave pattern, which was introduced in 2019. The blue 36mm model also has eight diamond hour markers and polished central bracelet links.

Each reference also features a new metal bracelet design, equipped with a fine adjustment system that can extend or reduce the bracelet length by up to 1.5cm. This enables wearers to resize the bracelet so the watch can be worn over a wetsuit, or adjust the bracelet size without taking the watch off.

The new watch’s lugs are now shorter, while the case edge has been chamfered and polished for better visual impact.
