1/8 Pops Fernandez

Singer Pops Fernandez usually co-hosts the annual Tatler Ball alongside our Editor-in-Chief, Anton San Diego. Though her lifestyle is decidedly glamorous, she's not one to shy away from the dirty work that comes with gardening. She admits that gardening and watching her plants grow inspire her throughout unpredictable times; she also owns a variety of succulents and potted plants to keep her company.

2/8 Bernard Fah

Precious metal trader, Bernard Fah, loves the great outdoors. Though he admits he never showed much interest in gardening until the first lockdown, Fah says that he's now hooked on the plantito lifestyle. "It started from a tasty mango that my wife, Macky, ate, I thought it would be a good idea to grow it. Ever since it sprouted, I've been hooked on gardening. I love it because I get to spend more time with my Dad, and we get to share tidbits and tips to improve our plant life. My preference in plants are herbs (oregano, rosemary, basil, sage, parsley, dill etc.), chilli, and calamansi. This way, I get to reap what I sow and Macky can incorporate it in her delicious cooking."

3/8 Miguel Zubiri

Senator Miguel Zubiri may be busy in his political career, but that doesn't stop him from pushing through with his plantito lifestyle. He's been a huge advocate of supporting local farmers and growers, recommending two places in Cagayan de Oro where people can buy the best greens (Hayes Street Near CHED and Villarin Street Near St. Mary's Academy). Senator Zubiri has also planted his own gumamela shrubs at home with his kids, which are now flowering beautifully!

4/8 Monique Madsen

Stylist and former Tatler Philippines fashion editor, Monique Madsen, has a variety of chic houseplants stylishly scattered around her home—and they all seem to be growing so well, with new leaves sprouting every now and then. We can't wait to see what other plants she'll be adding to her collection soon!

5/8 Karen Davila

It's no surprise that Karen Davila has a huge heart for sustainability. Recently, she joined Loren Legarda in promoting a no-waste lifestyle, which also promoted planting your own food at home. Ask any plantita and they'll tell you that the most satisfying part of growing green is reaping the fruits of your own labour—literally!

Paolo Trillo is the team manager for the PBA team Meralco Bolts. He was also a former sports analyst and commentator for the PBA and is a plant lover! A fun fact is that this man is a huge bonsai collector! If you ever have questions about these iconic Japanese miniatures, seek out Paolo's advice.

7/8 Ces Drilon

Watching Ces Drilon harvest her homegrown tomatoes and chillis is so fun to watch! You can easily see her passion for growing her own food and herbs, and it's honestly inspiring us to the exact same thing. The journalist, who's also been known to promote organic farming, also uses harvests in her very own recipes.

8/8 Nicole Hernandez De Los Angeles

Seeing Nicole Hernandez bond with her son through gardening warms the heart! According to her, her son, Luis, has managed to grow okra from seed—an impressive feat for any green thumb out there! Plus, watching the young mum promote a wholesome and sustainable lifestyle, and then pass it on to her children, is the inspiring content we need to see right now.
