Welcome to Foodie Finds! This is an article series by Tatler, chronicling where and what to order according to the food-obsessed.

I myself have never understood non-foodies. How can one not love flavours, spices, aromas and all the cultural nuances and memories that come with every bite? Dining is an experience meant to be savoured and is even more fun when shared with loved ones. Dining around a table means sharing, conversing, bonding and learning. A dish can tell you so much about a person, a culture, and a country. It speaks volumes of a nation's history and is an art form on its own. Skilled hands are trained over years or are born out of pure passion and practice. Professional chefs and home cooks alike, from young stars to grandmothers, have been cooking up meals filled with emotion and have truly made us foodies, happy.

Through Foodie Finds, we ask our epicurean friends to share their favourites. In this feature, we tackle takeout and delivery. Hear what Selina Ocampo, founder of MISE, has to say. She shares her go-to shops for takeout here:

El Union Coffee

@elunion

Although their flagship is in San Juan, La Union. Their online store is a game-changer. I am a recent convert to their fantastic selection of coffee. Not only do they offer a wide range of local and international blends; the branding, vibe, service and overall philosophy are amazing. If you've never tried their coffee, make sure to order the Brazil Machado blend. Shout out to Kiddo and Amy! If you ever find yourself in La Union, have a chat with the lovely couple and definitely order the grilled cheese.

Chocolate chip cookies seem to be a sensitive topic. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Although, have you ever had the best frozen chocolate chip cookie dough? This was probably the worst and the best discovery... Each cookie ball dough is separated in perfectly single scoops. It's simple, straight to the point and extremely dangerous when it's midnight. Get in line, though! She only makes a limited amount per week.

Polaris Fine Foods

@polarisfinefoods

I am a salmon sashimi lover. Polaris fine foods serve up Pacific king salmon, Scottish red label and Norwegian salmon. If that doesn't satisfy you they have uni, toro, hamachi, king crab legs and more! Their sashimi selection is an amazing product to make tartare, crudo or just to enjoy on its own! Definitely, a place to treat yourself.

Naturasi

@burrata.mnl

Best burrata hands down! Toast a piece of sourdough until golden and crunchy. Gently break and spread the burrata on your prettiest plate. Get that really nice extra virgin olive oil you've been "saving", drizzle all over and finish with Maldon sea salt. Place it on top of your crunchy sourdough and you've got yourself a meal. The burrata is a beautiful centrepiece in salads, pasta dishes or just simple paired with arugula and fresh tomatoes. You can't go wrong! Don't forget to check out their cherry mozzarella and stracciatella too!

A Mano

@amano.ph

Whether it's dining outdoors or in the comfort of my home, A Mano remains to be a weekly staple. They never fail to make me feel welcome and at home. Here is my take out suggestion: ragu pasta kit, cotoletta alla milanese and panna cotta with honeycomb and pistachio. The cotoletta alla milanese is breaded kurobota pork chop that's pounded thinly and fried to perfection. It comes with baby potatoes, cherry tomatoes, arugula and lemon. The simplest pairing that lifts up and keeps the cotoletta the star of the dish. The pasta kit comes with fresh pasta, pre-made ragu sauce and minimal instructions that won't make you break a sweat. To tie it all together, enjoy their extremely light, luscious and creamy panna cotta. A Mano provides a generous and adequate amount of honeycomb and the perfect sprinkle of pistachio. I'm sure you can tell I am a frequent customer.
